The Wealth Today Academy attracts top brokers

Following its launch into Victoria last month, Wealth Today has just completed a sellout broker Academy in Brisbane - its fifth in Queensland and its second Victorian Academy in Melbourne last week. Academies are now scheduled right through to the end of the year with dates soon to be released for Sydney.

The success of the Academy can be attributed in part to the timing of its launch. At a time when professionals in the broking field are facing the very clear realisation that they must diversify in order to stay in business, the Wealth Today Academy presents the ideal opportunity.

The quality of the Academy is demonstrated by the calibre of its early adopters and their feedback - Jemmy Best, Principle of Best Home Loans in Townsville remarked, “The course was easy to complete. It was five days and I met some great, likeminded people. I’ve been in the industry for the last seven years and now, having completed the Wealth Today Academy, I clearly see the value it’s added to my business. It’s certainly changed my view on everything from property to superannuation, shares, managed funds and my entire future in the industry”

To date, graduates have comprised brokers operating in the upper echelon of the industry through a myriad of aggregators across the country. These are the players
who have identified the need to diversify and adapt to a changing financial services environment.

Jemmy reflects: “Prior to doing this course, my thoughts regarding the industry from a mortgage broker’s point of view was a whole lot of doom and gloom - having to meet with vastly more clients, working 60 to 80 hours a week and getting nowhere fast.”

As Wealth Today National Training and Business Development Manager, Julian Musgrave added, “the capacity of these brokers to recognise the opportunity so swiftly and complete the Academy right away, probably explains why they are at the top end of their field.”

The unique, custom designed Academy qualifies brokers to give limited financial advice so that, in addition to insurance, they can help their valuable clients attain a
mortgage and then swiftly work with them on strategies to reduce that mortgage and put in place a financial plan. But as Wealth Today sees it, the broker of the future
is not an “expert” in all areas of financial services.

Rather, they are a conduit to a full financial service offering, bringing in specialists when required whilst maintaining ownership of their clients.

Julian Musgrave added, “It’s very exciting that the Academy has attracted the cream of the crop to date, but the Academy doesn’t discriminate and the opportunity is designed for all brokers - new, experienced, busy and struggling. The opportunity is for everyone and its there for the taking.”

By cross selling financial services to their mortgage clients, this new breed of brokeradviser has the potential to earn an additional five to seven revenue streams.

“Imagine making the banks’ commissions potentially irrelevant to the success of your business” Julian proposed. “These brokers who have just completed the Academy, have taken a glimpse of their future via Wealth Today and are literally weeks away from making it a reality.”
